Nintendo Stock Report February 2024
Nintendo Stock Report Q3 FY2024
Nintendo has revealed their earnings report for Q3 FY2024. Although there is some slowing down from previous years, there is still plenty of good news for a system that has just entered its eighth year on the market.
The Ninteod Switch has now sold 139.36 million units of hardware. With another quarter left in the fiscal year, which just had the projections increased from 15 million units to 15.5 million units, the Nintendo Switch is one step closer to becoming the best selling system of all time and is expected to have sold 141.12 by the end of March 2024. The current best selling systems of all time are the PS2 with around 155, and the Nintendo DS at 154.02
With a fairly solid lineup including Princess Peach, Paper Mario TYD remake, Mario vs Donkey Kong and Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon remake combined with backwards compatibility, that hopefully will work with the Switch successor, this seems like an achievable task. Research and Development was also up almost 20 percent, which does help give weight to some of the speculation that it will launch in 2024.
The Switch has also sold over 1.2 billion games, which means that games on the Switch have sold more than the WiiU, GameCube, N64, and SNES combined (916.21)
Leading the charge on the notable software sales for the first three quarters include Tears of The Kingdom with 20.28, Super Mario Bros Wonder with 11.96, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with another 6.79 bringing it to 60.58 million total, Switch Sports with 2.88 for a total of 12.48 million, Odyssey with another 1.9 for 27.65 million, BOTW with another 1.8 for 31.61, and Luigi’s Mansion 3 with 1.15 for 13.98.
