Silksong News…Finally!

Well, after many years of silence from Team Cherry, we finally have some new information. The good, scratch that, great news, is the Silksong is coming Xbox Game Pass on Day One. Considering that Silksong, up until this point has only been shown as coming to Switch and PC title, this is pretty huge news for Hollow Knight and Xbox fans alike.

The glass half empty was that at the end of the trailer, there was no release date shown, which is all too familiar for eagerly awaiting fans. The glass half full is that just a few minutes after the Silksong trailer was shown, Sarah Bond, Corporate VP at Xbox came out on stage to say that everything shown during the Xbox Summer Showcase will be playable within the next 12 months.

Even doubling down on this on. Twitter when someone asked Xbox for clarification about Silksong being available within the next 12 months and their response was “thats what we said”

The trailer showed a lot of footage that fans had already seen but I might be wrong but there was also a lot of new as well. One of the most interesting aspects to me was that it looked to have an Ori like escape as Hornet is trying to move upwards as fast as possible as the lava below surges up. There was also a lot of new bosses and enemies shown as well as new abilities.

While it might not be much, at least Hollow Knight fans can rest assured that Silksong is coming in the next 12 months and even though Team Cherry’s official website still hasn’t been updated from 2019, the drought of information is finally over.
