LEGO Bricktales is a great game, and you can check out our full review here. However, there were three builds that derailed the fun for a long time. The fire escape and the high rise platform on the city biome and the water barrel on the Caribbean level or as I prefer to call it, the pirate level. Here is a step by step guide to help you build these three sets if you find yourself stuck for hours like I was.

For the Fire Escape there were two keys that made the difference when I was trying to solve it. The first was connecting the two ladders first from the top floor and then again on the second floor. The other key was adding in some smooth bricks for the robots to use, for some reason if you don't , it won’t work.

On the three tiered platform the key was instead of trying to create a level and sturdy base to all of the landing and then building stairs in reverse, the key was building the stairs to two platforms.

Finally on the water barrel, the hard part about this build was that every single drop of water needed to go into the bucket. Zero room for error. This water barrel might not look pretty but it gets the job done. The nice thing is that the water drops in the exact same spot every time, so it became about trial and error. Just to prove this point at the end of the build, I tested it multiple times.
