When is Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp Coming Out?

One of the games that I was looking forward to playing this year was the Nintendo exclusive Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp. Unfortunately, Nintendo decided about a month before its release that with the situation in Ukraine, it would be in poor taste to release a game about war and invasion, even if it’s animated.

With a cult like status on the series, minimal turn based tactical games on consoles and development by Wayforward, there was a lot to be excited about. The big question is now how long will it be before Advance Wars makes its way to the Switch.

Sadly enough, this is not the first time Advance Wars has had bad release timing as the first game in the series was released on September 10, 2011 in North America, with an imminent release worldwide shortly after. Obviously, you know what happened and as a result Advance Wars was delayed in Europe and Asia.

The game was eventually released in Europe over 4 months later, and never released in Japan until the compilation of the first two games was released over 4 years later. Will it be four years again before Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp gets released? I don’t think so, but since history has a way of repeating itself, it would be safe to assume that release would be around August or September.
