WaterField CitySlicker Nintendo Switch Case Review
As a system designed to be portable most times, it seems important to have to proper case to take your Nintendo Switch with you to protect your investment and look sharp doing it. Having had the CitySlicker case for over two years now I thought that now would be as good of time as any to give my impressions.
There are a lot of options available to keep your Switch safe but not many can look as good doing it as this bag from WaterField Designs. I should first state that I paid full price out of pocket for this case and I have not been compensated giving my positive impressions on the bag. With over 50 million Nintendo Switches being sold it seems like there might still be some people who are looking for the best case for the Nintendo Switch. Waterfield has many options for taking your switch on the go from something smaller that will fit your switch and a few accessories to full bags designed for tournament play that will be able to fit everything you need including the system, the dock, pro controllers and all the joy cons you can imagine. I only take the system with me as travelling to hotels you rarely have access to the rear of the tv anymore. Times have changed as it feels like yesterday I was able to hook up my dreamcast in the hotel lobby and get people wondering if it was real. Nowadays I feel like it is a rare occurrence that I am able to hook up the dock while traveling so I just leave all that at home now.
The city slicker fits more than you need to take your Switch with you wherever you go. Here is what I keep in the case whenever I travel
Nintendo Switch
USB C Cable
6 game cartridges (you can fit more but only enough slots for 5 plus 1 in the system
corded Apple Earbuds
According to the website it could fit more including a power bank and a HDMI cable but I don’t find that I have use for those extra things when traveling. In the two years since I have purchased the case It has been all over America, Canada and Europe. I haven’t been extra careful with it and with the top quality materials used such as the leather on the front pouch it has aged well. Any scufs and nicks have just given the case character. I was drawn to the cityslicker for a few reasons, I have ran successful business for over a decade of my life in other fields and appreciate that these bags are handmade in San Francisco. I also found the premium and professional look the case had when comparing it to the rest of the completion. I don’t need bright colors and edgy saying on my case, I appreciate finer things. For under 80 dollars it’s hard not to love everything that this case has to offer. I would strongly reccomend anyone looking for a case for their Nintendo Switch to check them out.
