Doom: The Dark Ages just got a full reveal at the Xbox Developer Direct. Here are the top five things that you need to know before it releases.
Doom: The Dark Ages is releasing sooner than you think and will be playable on May 15, 2025 and will of course be a Day One Game Pass ultimate title.
Doom: The Dark Ages will be a prequel to Doom 2016 and will see the series embrace the core roots including shooting while strafing and keeping your feet on the ground.
Out of all the new the features, the most notable ones include the Shield Saw, which allows you to block, parry and deflect projectiles, being able to pilot a giant 30 story titan, and being able to fly a cybernetic Dragon.
The accessibility menu has been greatly increased with modifiers that allow you to tweak parry window, game speed, enemy aggression, projeticle speed, and damage values to name a few.
The story will be at the forefront and be told through cutscenes and not hidden in the codex, which as an added bonus will allow you to take a breather from the ripping and tearing.
