NPD Video Game Report - March 2022

Here is very quick recap of what you need to know about video games sales in March thanks to NPD Group:

10. Final Fantasy Origin: Stranger of Paradise charting as the first of five new entries

9. Call of Duty Vanguard slipping from 6 to remain in the top ten six months after release

8. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe holds steady number 8 for another month.

7. WWE 2K22 with solid word of mouth from a hungry fanbase is the second new entry

6. Pokemon Legends Arceus drops from third place just a few months after release.

5. Horizon Forbidden West slipping from 2 but will likely have a long tail in the next few months.

4. MLB: The Show 22 is the third new entry and only includes the deluxe early access edition due to the reporting dates.

3. Kirby and the Forgotten Land has an impressive debut at third without digital sales included.

2. Gran Turismo 7 is the highest new entry as the PS exclusive almost tops the chart

1. Elden Ring shows impressive staying power and word of mouth to remain on top holding off serious competition.

With minimal big ticket releases in April, the next chart should look similar with most of the top ten titles remaining but changing position.
