How to find Dead Cells Castlevania?

Heading up to the release of Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania, the big question was if it would be like the other DLC’s? All of the other paid Dead Cells DLC’s up til this point have all operated the same including The Bad Seed, Fatal Falls, and The Queen and The Sea. You would have to find them by venturing out into the world and finding the right door.

The big hope was that since this was being made based off the huge Konami Castlevania IP, that they would have made it easily accessible to newcomers because the large assumption is that this DLC is going to bring in a lot of new players. You want to make it as easy as possible for them to find it because Dead Cells can be frustrating if you aren’t familiar with the game and genre. I thought it would be accessible right from the room where you respawn every time, but instead you will need to find it in the first level, The Prisoners Quarters.

So how do you find the Dead Cells Castlevania content? You do need to work for it a little bit, but the good news is that it’s fairly easy to find in three easy steps:

  1. The first thing you need to do is to make sure that you have the DLC installed. Scroll down to DLC on the main menu, then scroll all the way to the right where it lists the Return To Castlevania DLC. It needs to say installed. If it doesn’t and you already purchased it, you just need to update your software.

  2. After that, you need to find Richter Belmont in the Prisoner’s Quarters.

  3. Finally, you will need to find the door labeled: Castle’s Outskirts. The first time, it will be right behind Richter. On following runs, depending on how many DLC you have purchased over the years, the Prisoner’s Quarters could have a lot of possible doors. On multiple runs the door to the Castle’s Outskirts was located in different areas.

After that you can find the door to the next Castlevania biome, Dracula’s Castle inside the Castle’s Outskirts. Hope this helps!
